Veteran actor Chandrashekar dies at 97


Veteran actor Chandrashekar passed away at 97 today, at 7 in the morning. His death took place due to age-related issues. He was well known for his performance as Arya Sumant in Ramanand Sagar's  Ramayan  Film business analyst Atul Mohan shared this sad through his Twitter handle account about Chandrashekar passed away and giving the details about the final rites that will take place at Vile Parle at 3 PM on June 16 and expressed heartfelt condolences towards the family.

Chandrashekar is a well-known man who has worked in 250 films and TV in his vast career. His journey in the film industry has begun as a junior artist in the film Bebas and went on to play the lead roles in various films, he also got a chance to play a negative character in the film Basant Bahar, films like Aurat Teri Yehi Kahani, Kavi, Mastana, Baradari, Kali Topi Laal Rumaal, he was also a leader who played in the famous musical film of 1964 Cha Cha Cha, which took Veteran as a lead role. Later in his bright journey, he worked as an assistant director to Gulzar. Whereas, He assisted in films like Parichay, Koshish, Khushboo, Mausam, Achanak, etc. In his 60s he played the role of Arya Sumant in Ramayan, later in 2000 he retired at the age of 78.

Actor Chandrashekhar is survived by his son Ashok Chandra Shekhar who is a well-known producer. His grandson, Shakti Arora is a well-known actor in the Hindi TV industry.
