Veteran Actor Ghanashyam Nayak Dies

Versatile actor Ghanashyam Nayak played several roles in over hundreds of movies, both in Bollywood and in the Gujarati film industry.


On Sunday evening, veteran actor Ghanashyam Nayak died at 77 who was best known for his role of Nattu Kaka in the classic sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Late actor Ghanashyam Nayak had been diagnosed with cancer last year. He took his last breath yesterday after a prolonged battle with the disease. Creator of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Kumarr Modi shared the information of the actor's death immediately through a tweet. Apparently many of his relatives, fans and the team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah paid condolences and mourned the demise of Ghanashyam Nayak, who was well-known for his character Nattu Kaka.

Asit Kumarr Modi and actor Dilip Joshi, who played the role of Jethalal, attended Mr Nayak's last rites and offered prayers on Monday morning.

Versatile Ghanashyam Nayak's impressive acting includes roles that he played in over hundreds of movies, both in Bollywood and in the Gujarati film industry. He has also featured in over 300 television shows. Apart from that he was a prominent personality in Gujarati theatre.
