He played the role of a blind man in the film KGF…

On Wednesday, December 7, Veteran Kannada actor Krishna G Rao passed away in Bangalore. Krishna is popularly known for his role as the blind old man in the Yash-starrer KGF franchise.

He was admitted to Vinayaka Hospital near Sita Circle, Bangalore, where he took his last breath. If reports are to be believed, the actor passed away due to age-related illness only. He was treated in the ICU of the hospital due to an infection in lungs.

The reports also suggest that Krishna G Rao was visiting a relative’s house when he was rushed to the nearest medical facility at midnight after complaining of shortness of breath.

In KGF, Krishna G Rao played the titular character of a blind man before the fight scene where Yash fought with the villains of Narachi. While the villains were trying to kill the blind man, Rocky Bhai stepped in to save him.

His dialogue in KGF: Chapter 2, "Let me give you a piece of advice. Don't go to stand in his way sir," became very popular. After the release of KGF: Chapter 1 in 2018, he featured in more than 30 films.

Krishna G Rao has worked in the industry for several years now in supporting roles. He has also worked as an assistant director for several decades.

Recently, the trailer of his upcoming film Nano Narayanappa was also launched on YouTube. It showed him as a character with ten heads, like Raavan.
